Samantha Stanfield received her Bachelors of Science degree in Marine Biology, with a double minor in Chemistry and Theatre, from Eckerd College in 2011. She then went on to get her Masters of Science in Marine Biology from University of San Diego in 2016.

I have always had an interest in creation and fabrication, ranging from clothing and costumes to more utilitarian and architectural pieces. The majority of things that I design and construct are for aerial performances. One of the most important parts of a design is making sure that the piece not only will read well from far away, but that it is also comfortable and easy to move in. It is also a bonus if that piece can be used for multiple performances, or even transition into daily wear.
